It's been nearly three months since I last posted an entry. So what have I been doing in all that time?
I wish I could say that I've been busy writing. Seems that life's distractions keep interfering.
When I wrote the AWAKE, I never intended it to become a serial. It was just supposed to be a short but funny thing, people who read it wanted more and who am I to deny them. So, here we are at Episode VI. I've been using the same cover for continuity but recently I received feedback that the covers were too confusing, that it was hard to tell which to read first. So, I have decided to have the covers redesigned. Also, the episode number will appear on the front as well. This should help. I hope by the time I'm finished with Episode VI: The Return to also have the new covers completed.
I have also spent a considerable amount of time working on the NIWA (Northwest Independent Writers Association) website, redesigning the catalog pages. Check it out: www.niwawriters.net. The pages now include the link to give readers a free sample of each book. Just click on the bookcover. I've also added this feature to my Books pages.
In February, the Spring Portland Home & Garden Show hosted NIWA's Book Garden book. There were over 100 titles available in all genres for the four day show. This was the most successful show we have had to date with over 300 books sold. I was unable to attend but my books made a showing and I'm happy to see that two sets of the first five episodes of AWAKE sold! I hope by the Fall show to have the entire series available.
In closing, I would like to announce the audiobook release of the second Charlie MacCready book, Charlie MacCready Shadows in the Dark. It is available through audible.com. As a kick off gift, I am offering 10 free audiobook downloads to the first 10 people who submit the following form.
